Position Description:

Senior Professional Services Consultants at Kinney Group are responsible for delivering project wins and outcomes to external customers with little oversight. Services delivery is managed based on KGI’s Delivery Framework and best practices of Project Management Institute’s PMBOK to ensure that each project is executed to exceed customer expectations while balancing the needs of the delivery team. You will collaborate with colleagues throughout the organization to define, prioritize, develop, and deliver on the projects you engage. Being a member of the delivery team, you will guide the customer through their APM journey, make recommendations along the way, and serve as a trusted advisor.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with customer to provide quick wins and showcase the power behind full utilization of AppDynamics
  • Consult with Customer Leadership on building a results driven roadmap and find innovative ways to solve problems in the APM space
  • Educate customer stakeholders on the full capability behind AppDynamics and other industry tools (Cloud hosting, storage options, containers/Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Work closely with the delivery team to escalate and resolve issues that block progress or are outside of project scope
  • Educate customers on the value of our products while building trusted advisor relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Communicate and deliver messages to different audiences in a clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Measure project performance using industry best standard practices
  • Identify successful and unsuccessful project elements after project completion and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Assist with creating repeatable, scalable best practices

Required Skills and Education:

  • 3-5 years of relevant technical experience as technical or pre-sales Consultant for an enterprise software company or a recognized consultancy firm
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Professional Service Delivery and customer facing projects
  • Knowledge and experience (3+ years) in at least two technical domains such as:
    • Development experience in at least one of the following languages (Java, .Net, Python, NodeJS, PHP, C++, Golang)
    • SDLC practices including Agile, DevOps and CI/CD strategies
    • Virtualization and/or Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, etc)
    • Linux and Windows Server Administration experience
    • Experience with JavaScript (JQuery, Dojo, AngularJS, etc)
    • Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc) a major plus
  • Excellent detail oriented and organizational skills
  • Superb client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to embody Customer company culture
  • Maintains understanding of application performance management with utilization experience of AppDynamics or contending products a bonus
  • Solid command of the English language (written and spoken) with each additional language a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field/equivalent experience
  • Strong familiarity with AppD products largely preferred
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Technical aptitude to aide in connecting business issues with technical issues
  • Experience with government contracts
  • The ability to manage multiple external stakeholder groups
  • Managing projects with a prime contractor or indirect sales methods
